Sour Diesel came out of the East Coast underground in the early 1990s, when a grower known as AJ took seed from the famous Chemdawg 91 cut and crossed it with Super Skunk. It spread by word of mouth long before there was a legal market to sell it, and three decades later it is still the benchmark every fuel-forward cultivar gets measured against.
The aroma lives up to the name: sharp, pungent diesel riding over a sour, citrus-peel edge that announces itself before the pre-roll is even lit. Its character is commonly described as clear-headed, creative and energetic, a daytime smoke rather than a couch one.
Goodlyfe keeps every step of this one on the farm. The flower is grown there, the infusion is done there, and each pre-roll is finished by hand, so the Sour Diesel you light is the same plant the growers put in the ground.
