THC is the primary cannabinoid responsible for the psychoactive effects associated with cannabis. The amount of THC in a product can vary widely based on the method of consumption and the strain at the source of that product. The high that is produced is often enhanced by the “entourage effect” which is a combination of multiple cannabinoids in conjunction with various terpenes and individual body chemistry.

Terpenes are aromatic compounds found in cannabis that contribute to each strain's unique flavor and aroma. Total terpenes represents the combined concentration of all terpene compounds detected in the product, which may influence the overall experience through the entourage effect.

At Gage Green Genetics, the breeders paired OGKB, a cookie-family cut descended from Cherry Pie Kush, with Mendo Montage from their own library, and named the result Mendo Breath. The first selection stayed clone-only and fed several later breeding projects before seed versions reached a wider circle of growers.

The nose is commonly described as sweet vanilla and caramel over earth and warm pepper, with berry or coffee-and-cream notes also reported. Caryophyllene is the terpene most often reported in the lead, with limonene and myrcene behind it. The flowers grow compact, rock-hard and heavily frosted.

Its effects are commonly described as calm and heavy in the body, a slow, settling high for the end of the day. Breeders keep coming back to it as a parent, and Peanut Butter Breath is among the strains that trace back to it.
