THC is the primary cannabinoid responsible for the psychoactive effects associated with cannabis. The amount of THC in a product can vary widely based on the method of consumption and the strain at the source of that product. The high that is produced is often enhanced by the “entourage effect” which is a combination of multiple cannabinoids in conjunction with various terpenes and individual body chemistry.

Terpenes are aromatic compounds found in cannabis that contribute to each strain's unique flavor and aroma. Total terpenes represents the combined concentration of all terpene compounds detected in the product, which may influence the overall experience through the entourage effect.

White Truffle is a selected phenotype of Gorilla Butter -- Peanut Butter Breath crossed with GG4 -- from the Fresh Coast Seed Co. seed line, with the standout clone pheno-hunted and named by Beleaf. Credit for it is genuinely contested: some growers still call the same clone Gorilla Butter, and a separate, unrelated White Truffle exists from another breeder entirely. The cross everyone agrees on; the naming they don't.

The smell is savory rather than sweet -- butter and toasted nuts, forest floor and damp earth, with a gassy, faintly chemical funk running underneath. It trades the sugary side of its Cookies ancestry for something richer. Commonly described as calming with a slightly buzzy, tingly body character.

Rec Roots rolls these from whole buds rather than shake, which is the difference you taste in a pre-roll of this kind.

About Rec Roots: Rec Roots was founded in 2018 in Elmira, NY, growing out of the state's early hemp research program before becoming a full adult-use licensee. It's a social equity cultivator built by a team of legacy operators, people directly impacted by cannabis criminalization, Black entrepreneurs, military veterans, and women -- rather than a single founder. Every batch is grown, processed, and third-party tested at their Southern Tier facility. Cannabis affects everyone differently -- start low and go slow, especially with something new.
