THC is the primary cannabinoid responsible for the psychoactive effects associated with cannabis. The amount of THC in a product can vary widely based on the method of consumption and the strain at the source of that product. The high that is produced is often enhanced by the “entourage effect” which is a combination of multiple cannabinoids in conjunction with various terpenes and individual body chemistry.
Terpenes are aromatic compounds found in cannabis that contribute to each strain's unique flavor and aroma. Total terpenes represents the combined concentration of all terpene compounds detected in the product, which may influence the overall experience through the entourage effect.
Empire Breeding Co. made Jezus Juice by pairing Mimosa with Duct Tape. Mimosa is the Clementine and Purple Punch cross known for its citrus. Duct Tape is the Gorilla Glue #4 and Do-Si-Dos cut known for heavy resin. You get the fruit from one side of the family and the stickiness from the other.
The nose is pungent orange, ripe and a little sharp, with the resin underneath giving it weight. Jezus Juice is commonly described as a happy, easygoing smoke that settles into full-body relaxation. It's what people reach for once the day's work is done.
Rec Roots sells this cut as whole flower rather than pre-ground, which matters most on a strain that leads with its nose: intact buds hold their terpenes until you break them up, so the citrus is still there on the last one.
About Rec Roots: Rec Roots was founded in 2019 in the Southern Tier as a research partner in New York State's agriculture research pilot program. It is led by a team of veterans, Black and women entrepreneurs, and people directly impacted by cannabis prohibition, who have worked together for nearly two decades. Everything is grown and processed on the company's own campus in the Southern Tier, across more than 32,000 square feet of indoor and light-deprivation space.
