THC is the primary cannabinoid responsible for the psychoactive effects associated with cannabis. The amount of THC in a product can vary widely based on the method of consumption and the strain at the source of that product. The high that is produced is often enhanced by the “entourage effect” which is a combination of multiple cannabinoids in conjunction with various terpenes and individual body chemistry.
CBD is the second most prevalent cannabinoid and is primarily produced by hemp plants and at lower amounts in cannabis. CBD has soared in popularity due to its non-psychoactive effects.
Terpenes are aromatic compounds found in cannabis that contribute to each strain's unique flavor and aroma. Total terpenes represents the combined concentration of all terpene compounds detected in the product, which may influence the overall experience through the entourage effect.
Super Silver Haze came out of Amsterdam's Green House Seed Company in the mid-1990s, bred by Shantibaba from three of the era's foundation genetics: Skunk, Northern Lights and Haze. It took first prize at the High Times Cannabis Cup three years running, 1997 through 1999.
The aroma is commonly described as bright citrus over herbal, skunky undertones, with myrcene, caryophyllene and limonene reported as its leading terpenes. Its character is commonly described as energetic and clear-headed -- an uplifting sativa that people reach for in the daytime.
Its influence outlasted that cup run: Green House later crossed it with Lemon Skunk to make Super Lemon Haze, which won the Cannabis Cup in its own right in 2008 and 2009.
About Kings & Queens: Kings & Queens is a Vireo brand that launched in Maryland in October 2021 -- under the company's former name, Goodness Growth Holdings -- as a line of live and cured resin concentrates: badder, budder, sugar and sauce. Its soft debut on October 1 of that year sold through all 330 units in a single day. The line has since grown to include infused pre-rolls and vape cartridges.
