THC is the primary cannabinoid responsible for the psychoactive effects associated with cannabis. The amount of THC in a product can vary widely based on the method of consumption and the strain at the source of that product. The high that is produced is often enhanced by the “entourage effect” which is a combination of multiple cannabinoids in conjunction with various terpenes and individual body chemistry.
Soma grew up in Queens, built his seed company in Amsterdam, and gave this plant the name of the city he came from. He brought Mexican and Afghani landrace stock together in it, and between 2001 and 2004 NYC Diesel took home five trophies from the High Times Cannabis Cup.
The nose is ripe red grapefruit and lime over a sharp diesel funk, and the fuel carries through on the exhale. Most accounts have it starting bright and talkative, a clear, social lift that eases into a looser, relaxed body feel as it settles in.
When Lawrence Ringo of the Southern Humboldt Seed Collective set out to build Sour Tsunami, he crossed NYC Diesel males onto Sour Diesel and kept at it for about four years. Strawberry Diesel pairs it with Strawberry Cough. Soma's own account still leads with the trait that sets it apart: a red grapefruit scent strong enough to fill a room.
