THC is the primary cannabinoid responsible for the psychoactive effects associated with cannabis. The amount of THC in a product can vary widely based on the method of consumption and the strain at the source of that product. The high that is produced is often enhanced by the “entourage effect” which is a combination of multiple cannabinoids in conjunction with various terpenes and individual body chemistry.
Humboldt Seed Company has been breeding in Northern California since 2001, and Blueberry Muffin is the strain the company names as its signature. Its breeders crossed Razzleberry with one of their own original lines and kept selecting until the plants came up uniform: frosty colas flecked with purple, and buds that smell like fresh blueberry muffins.
The nose leads with blueberry, then rounds out into butter, vanilla and a nutty edge over earthy berry. Most accounts have it opening as a hazy, uplifting head buzz before easing into relaxed, full-body calm, and plenty of people keep it for the evening.
What sets it apart is consistency. An indica-leaning hybrid bred for uniformity, it holds its bakery profile from plant to plant, and other breeders have taken notice: it now sits in the family tree of more than seventy newer crosses, Afghan Breakfast and Baked Muffinz among them.
