Sensi Seeds released Jack Herer in Amsterdam in 1994 and named it for the hemp activist whose book, The Emperor Wears No Clothes, reopened the case for the plant. Ben Dronkers built it from Haze, Northern Lights #5 and Skunk genetics, and it went on to take first place at the High Times Cannabis Cup.
The aroma leads with fresh pine over an earthy base, with a bright citrus edge and a peppery, clove-like spice on the finish. Its character is commonly described as clear-headed and upbeat, a daytime Sativa.
Live resin starts with plants frozen fresh at harvest rather than dried and cured, which holds on to more of the volatile terpenes that carry that pine and spice. Brass Knuckles runs it through a rechargeable all-in-one with a ceramic heating element and a glass tip - no cartridge to pair, just the extract.
