THC is the primary cannabinoid responsible for the psychoactive effects associated with cannabis. The amount of THC in a product can vary widely based on the method of consumption and the strain at the source of that product. The high that is produced is often enhanced by the “entourage effect” which is a combination of multiple cannabinoids in conjunction with various terpenes and individual body chemistry.

Terpenes are aromatic compounds found in cannabis that contribute to each strain's unique flavor and aroma. Total terpenes represents the combined concentration of all terpene compounds detected in the product, which may influence the overall experience through the entourage effect.

A Chem's Sister plant in Joesy Whales' garden turned hermaphrodite and pollinated the Sour Dubb beside it, and he nearly threw the seeds away. A friend kept them, popped them years later, and the fourth plant was the keeper. Whales and Lone Watty of GG Strains finished it with Chocolate Diesel and named it for resin that gums trimming scissors shut.

The breeder lists the aroma as earthy, piney and faintly chocolate, with a chemmy, diesel taste, and smokers add a sharp, sour pungency. The effect is usually described as heavy, full-body relaxation over a clear, euphoric head at the start -- "glued to the couch" is the phrase people reach for.

In 2014 it took first place at both the Michigan and Los Angeles High Times Cannabis Cups, then the 2015 World Cup in Jamaica. A 2017 trademark suit from the adhesive company ended with the breeders renaming it GG4, or Original Glue -- but the plant never changed.

About Bouket: Bouket is a Vireo Health of New York brand launched in 2026, after ACE Venture -- a New York MWBE-certified company -- acquired a 51% stake in Vireo Health of New York; the company describes Bouket as the first minority-owned cannabis brand in New York State to receive MWBE certification. The name nods to Harlem's Prohibition-era jazz underground, when "bouquet" was used as coded language for cannabis; the brand's guiding idea is "give yourself your flowers," framing cannabis as part of intentional living.
