THC is the primary cannabinoid responsible for the psychoactive effects associated with cannabis. The amount of THC in a product can vary widely based on the method of consumption and the strain at the source of that product. The high that is produced is often enhanced by the “entourage effect” which is a combination of multiple cannabinoids in conjunction with various terpenes and individual body chemistry.
Terpenes are aromatic compounds found in cannabis that contribute to each strain's unique flavor and aroma. Total terpenes represents the combined concentration of all terpene compounds detected in the product, which may influence the overall experience through the entourage effect.
Grape Ape came out of Northern California in the mid-2000s, bred by Apothecary Genetics from Mendocino Purps, Skunk and Afghani. Named for its smell, it leads with grape over berry and sweetness and is commonly described as relaxing and sleepy, an evening strain.
Runtz debuted in December 2017 at the Emerald Cup in Santa Rosa, a year after its parent Zkittlez took first place there; Gelato is the other parent. It smells and tastes like the fruit candy it is named for, with a creamy finish, and is commonly described as euphoric and talkative.
Both strains are live resin, which keeps more of their aroma: the plants are frozen at harvest, not dried.
About Bodega Boyz
Paras Chhabra grew up in Queens, the son of immigrant parents, around the corner bodegas that anchor the city's neighborhoods, and he named his cannabis company after them. The product lines still talk like the deli counter: Shorties, Deuces, Loosies and Chopped Cheese. Bodega Boyz started out in Oklahoma and now sells through licensed retail partners in New York, California, Oklahoma, Michigan and Missouri.
